A new year is about to begin. I sit and think about the things that I want to accomplish for that year, and I hope that I will be able to accomplish them. A new year scares me in a way. There is so much that can happen and it scares me now cus, for starters, I dont have a job, and I know how tough it can be to look for a job. I am already stressing out! Anyways, I wanted to list the things that I want to accomplish for the new year:
*Land full-time job!
*Pay off all my debts!
*Be blessed with a young man!
*Save money along the way
*Go on a trip~Shooting for Washington/Baltimore!
*Always Laugh!

Christmas
Luke 2: 10-14
10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you agood tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
12 And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.
13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,
14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth bpeace, good will toward men.

I am hoping everyone is having the greatest Christmas eve there is! I am having mixed feelings. For some reason I dont really feel like it is Christmas. I sit and think about the real meaning of Christmas and the floods of feeling come into my heart. My Savior is the real reason for this time. His life on earth, born into the horrible world. The world that He made ten times better by entering it!
I was also thinking this morning about the presents, and the thought of "Santa Claus". I am drawn back to what my wonderful roommate said about "Santa Claus" and how she doesn't want that in her home. The idea of him giving presents, the whole reason why my parents struggle during this time of year, the reason why kids know they are going without. The presents are nice, but it is so frustrating! Why does the world need "Santa Claus" or the idea of him? Can't the world know that the most easiest and simplist thing we should always think about is Christ!
I am not a scruge, I promise! I LOVE Christmas, I kinda wish that we didnt give Santa a bigger part than Christ. It is CHRISTmas not Santamas!

Temple Lights!
So I went to Temple Square on Friday night, Dec. 18, 2009. And let me tell you how nice it was to be home and enjoy Salt Lake! I was also in very good company, my dear friend that I have known since my Sophmore year in high school, Saia! What a good looking young man I was with! I had such a great time! It was a perfect way to end finals, actually the semester! I loved St. George's temple lights but NOTHING beats Temple Square, and of course the great company!

Ah My Favorite Place on Earth! And I love it even more at Christmas Time!

Saia and I infront of a really cool tree. I wanted to take a pictue like this in front of the Famous Red Tree but ALOT of people where in front of it. So the next best was this one!

I look blah standing next to him!

Learned
I wanted to write a list of things that I learned while I lived in St. George.
So here is goes. . . .
*I do have self control with my spending, it is easy not to spend money!
*I can wake up on my own for Church!
*I enjoy cooking for other people
*It is easy to clean up after myself, lol
*I love living in a clean Home (a dirty home drives me Crazy!)
*How much my siblings do and don't care for me
*I can be missed
*I can independant
*My parents would seriously do ANYTHING for me
*Having roommates and living away from home really can prepare you for adult life
*Boys are the same, doesn't matter where you live
*It is always important to have your house keys with you
*Wachting all the DVD's in your collection more than twenty times does get old!
*Home life doesn't stop when you leave
*My Grandparents Love me A LOT more than I already knew
*I really do cherish my family relationships A LOT more than I did.
*Roommates can/do and DID become family!
*I will miss St. George and will enjoy going back to visit!
I am sure the list can be longer I just can't seem to think of anymore!

Just a couple of "rules"
1. Please don’t make copies without obtaining permission.
2. Please email her and let her know where you’re from, and how you are making room for the Savior in your life. She is collecting stories from all over the world, and plans to post some of them on her blog.

D2 Christmas
My cute little living room. I came back from Thanksgiving break and walked inside to see this. Brittany did such a great job putting up the tree and I finished by putting up the stockings. I then got a good smelling Glade Christmas sent to make it smell how it looks! It is so Beautiful when all the lights are off and the Christmas Tree is lit! I love sitting in the living room to get the feeling of Christmas since I don’t get the feeling by going outside. Lol How I love CHRISTMAS!!

Different
This past weekend I was able to enjoy St. George Temple Grounds. The Christmas lights were lit and there was a small Nativity set up. It was Beautiful. I keep comparing everything to Temple Square. “Temple Square this. . . Temple Square that . .” But I really loved being on temple ground and enjoyed the Spirit that was there, even more during this Christmas season. Doing this activity has made me much more excited to be moving home (10 Days!) so I will be able to enjoy Temple Square’s Gloriousness!! Here are some cool Pictures that I took!

Success!!
Every Durr person eventually learns how to make Grandpa’s Tacos. Tonight I did just that and proof of it beside the picture haha the gease popped at me! Grandma Durr sent me the recipe and I went to work. My roommates and I feed the D12 boys this Sunday. Jordan, Jesse, and John, the three J’s haha. Anyways, it was amazing and turned out just great!! And the tacos tasted just like Grandpa’s. I am proud to say the Durr Taco’s will be a forever Legacy-even more than they are now, and will be made in my future home! Rock on!

Left to Right:
Cassi, Heather Jean, Jesse, Jordan, John, Michelle. . and I am taking the picture

My proof that the oil got mad at me. It is now a nice little bubble.I am being so gentle with it so it doesn't pop and hurt me all over again. haha

Responsible?
Knowing that none of the people that I work with know that I have a blog, I am going to vent once again on how I am feeling about it, since this is my "safe zone" per-say. So once upon a time I blogged about my coworker and how she talks to me like I am stupid.. . yeah well she got fired at the beginning of this week, so honestly it has been nice to not have to work with her. Her own fault she got fired. anyways, Since I am moving back home in two weeks, I was going to give my two week notice on Monday, until I was told that this girl got fired. I thought "o man I can't give my notice now." Dont ask me why I thought this. I am procrastinating (sp?) putting in my notice because I feel like I will be putting them in a rut. Is that being responsible? I sure hope so, I do believe so actually.
