BEE . . .BUZZZZ. . . HOME RUN!

The First Utah Bee's game of the summer . . . SO MUCH FUN!!! After a long day at work I got to go with Tierney to the Bee's game! I was looking forward to this since I didn't have anything else to do!

Of course the Bee's lost, which was expected, but they did get a home run!! I treated myself to a nice DELICIOUS cinnimon chirro (sp?) Tina and her boy toy Jake ended up meeting us there. Tierney and I drove and park at my work then road the tax over to the ball park. I had my snack with me. . a huge movie pickle. . on which I ate when we first arrived at the ball park and sat in our seats. O what a fun game, and fun time!



After the game we all jumped in jakes ride and went for ice cream! I got purple ice cream. . cotton candy.. ooo so yummo!



Good night, I had a lot of fun!

Next up. . the weekend!!

MTC no no! What?

Did you know that when you go to the MTC there are signs that are posted by the sidewalks that say "no chalking/writing on the sidewalk"??? No? hahaha We did either!

What an adventure we took on Monday night. The greatest FHE that we have had thus far, being young adults! Yes my parents even participated!
Bryce, mom, dad, me along with Kimm and Tau and of course can't leave out the camera crew, took a little trip down to Provo, Home BYU and Yes. . the M.T.C., Being filmed the whole way, to send Kevin. . Elder Durr, happy, encouraging messages. . on the side walk he would be taking the next day during P.E. time. . with sidewalk chalk!

The best idea ever! We were good with time, having enough sun light to write the fun messages. We even had enough time to finish our messages and get the heck out of there in time. . . but we dilly dallied and got BUSTED!!! The MTC security came after us. . chased us down and took away our temple recommends!!! Blasted security! hahahahaha JUST KIDDING. . . but they did come over to us and talk to us. Telling us that what we did was not allowed, we didn't see the sign. The whole time we were being talked to. . the camera were rolling. They told us that "our missionary would get in trouble by someone else. . Bryce asked "Will he even see this?" they answered "Yes, cus he will be the one to come out and wash it off"
No way did we believe that they would make the Elders come out and clean it up after hours. . We got in our cars. . after I took pictures. . and drove away. . waited a little bit and drove past.. the security was gone and there was no one cleaning it off.
We headed home feeling so horrible that our fun time ended with guilty feelings of getting Kevin in trouble when he didn't even know we were doing it! OOPS,
We got the update today. . cus the camera crew went back there to film Kevin on Tuesday and they asked kevin what ened up happening. . 5 MIN AFTER WE LEFT. . sure enough they made KEVIN with some other elders go out and wash it off.. . 9:30PM 5 min shy of seeing him cleaning off our messages! BLAST!! WHY!!? LOL we would have totally honked at him. O well we weren't supposed to see him. . . so I guess it was a good thing. He said that he didn't get in a lot of trouble, but they all LOVED it cus they got to go outside AFTER crewfew! hahaha so they all enjoyed it and were grateful for what we did. lol so funny! Update on Elder Durr. . after we did our fast a week later we got a letter from him. He is so much more happy! and his health returned, and he is overwhelmed with happiness and excitment! I just have to say how fast the last 2 months FLEW BY! Elder Durr will be leaving the MTC on MONDAY!!! Heading to NEW YORK!! Can you believe it!!!

Best Reception EVER!!!

My best friend with no secrets got married this past weekend. It was so wonderful! Treble was the most beautiful bride! The weekend started out with the wedding dinner the night before which was DELICIOUS! Then a wild night out with the girls! Best Bachelorett party EVER! We dressed up with crazy 80's outfits and headed out to go to classic skating, which ended up being closed! What the. . on a friday night. Blast. . next best thing. . bowling! This was so much fun, I swear people thought we were wasted, isn't awesome when you can have a great time being sober!! HAHAHA YES!
We then headed back to have a sleepover. . which ended up NOT being a sleepover, so I wished that I went home and slept in my own bed, I was so tired the next morning. O well.
The sealing Saturday morning was so beautiful! I feel so lucky to have been able to go and witness something so amazing! Jeanette and Craig are so perfect for each other and seeing them sealed for time and all eternity was magical!

Lots of pictures were taken at the temple! We then departed ways and I went home and got ready for the reception.

Saturday night: Marks the best recpetion ever! It was in a beautiful big backyard, once the sun went down it was perfect! More pictures were taken, then the party began! Food, laughter. . best part-PHOTO BOOTH!!, MORE laughter and dancing!! Being a bridesmaid was so much fun! Jessie- treb's other BFF, we were having such a great time! She is the greatest person ever! I wish we could chill more but she has a son to take care of. Shout out to Jessie!! hahahaha

The love birds left the night running through a tunnel of light sabers- go starwars! lol I can say that I slept so well when I got home!

FATHER'S DAY!

My Dad is the BEST dad in the whole wide world!!! He does so much for his family and is so caring and giving. He would do anything for any of us! This post is dedicated to my wonderful father. He has raised me to who I am today. He is the Priesthood holder in my home. I could be more grateful for the blessing and words of comfort he offers me in my time of trouble, need and just because!!


Dad you are the worlds greatest dad, and I mean that with all my heart! I hope you had a great fathers day, and thanks for your hard work!

Fast For Elder Durr

Mom, dad and I went to the Mirror Lake Films building yesterday and had the chance to watch some of Kevin’s footage from the MTC. It wasn’t a lot of new stuff we got to see. . actually, we didn’t get to see any new stuff cus the file was too big for the computer to play it! Such a BUMMER!!! But we got to watch an episode which was cool.
Mr. Chad played a little , what? 30 second message clip that they had Kevin make for us on Tuesday afternoon. He was on some med’s that made him super drowsy and sleepy so it was funny to watch him slur his words, but SO AWESOME to have heard him talk to us and see him!! That was the by far the Highlight of Yesterday!! Dear ol Kevin boy.

For those of you who don’t know, We are having a united fast for Elder Durr, this Sunday June 13, 2010. He has been sick and has been struggling. The MTC is taking good care of him, but he needs some spiritual boosting to get him through these 4 weeks he has left. . which is only 4 Sundays!!
If you would like to join us in this fast please feel free do to so. He could also use your prayers and a letter!!! YAY!

Other than being sick Kevin is doing great! In his words "I've been better but doing good." Love you Kevin!

I didn’t even realize how far behind I am on my blog! What a slacker!! I can’t say that lots have happened for the last two weeks, but just a few new things that are blog worthy.

MAY 27, 2010. Kyle Gates Durr, my loving brother had his 24 Birthday. It is definitely a blessing that he is here with us and that he is in our Family! He adds so much character, love, different learning and growing experiences that has brought us closer as a family and as siblings!! Love you Bro!!


May 30, 2010. I got a new bishopbric in my singles ward. I am going to miss the old bishopbric but I am so excited to get to know these new men and their wives!! I did a Friday morning session a week before these men were called, so on the Sunday they were sustained I recognized my new bishop who I had seen in the temple that Friday. It was so awesome!!!! It has been a fun getting to know them! They are truly called of God to be in this calling to serve us in the University 14th Ward!!
June 7, 2010. I have a crush on a boy in my ward. BAHAHAHAHA Lets see how long this will last!

June 9, 2010. Almost up-to-date! Last night I became, think *Price is Right voice* A BRAN NEW OWNER OF A NEW BEACH CRUSIER BIKE!!!” I found it on craigslist. Not only was it a stealer of a price and the bike that I have been looking into buying but. . here it is . . it was PURPLE!!!! I knew the bike was mine, I knew that I had to get it!!! My parents came with me, cus it was off craigslist of course, gotta be safe. I knew right when I saw it in person that it had “SHANNON” written ALL OVER IT!!! WHAMMY!!! Here she is!!


There is much more fun and adventure in the future, so you can guarantee that I will be a good girl and blog it all for all my fans! Hehehehe!!
