Dress up Fun

So Grandma Durr went through her old stuff and was going to be throwing a lot of it away to the DI. I wanted to go through the things she had cus you never know if I wanted any of it right. Good thing I did cus I came out with a lot of old stuff, especially with a bag of old clothes that my sisters I used to dress up in when we were little. In this bag of clothes were two really cool old-old-school hats . .Well they looked like hats that Mario and Luigi wear in the Super Mario brother game. Cassi and I played dress up!! HAHAHA so much fun right! Cassi was Wario, a more modern characater I beleve, and I has Luigi. Check out the pictures! We had so much fun, I am still laughing from that night!! If I had the bag of clothes piror to Halloween, Cassi and I would have rocked the parties with our costumes!! Gotta love it!!

Boasting

I want to boast of myself for a few seconds, and giving credit where credit is due. I was stressed out all of this week knowing that I had a test to do. I missed the review which I didn't really stress over due to the fact that a girl, Jessica, who lives in my same building is also taking the same class and had some notes out of the book, I wrote out all of the information that I needed to study, I was beginning to stress knowing that as I sat and studied the words that I had written wasn't going to stick, my dear roommate Heather Jean, jumped right in and offered to help me study! Thank goodness she did, I took my test today and WHAMMY. . 84/100!!! Pure Happiness, why have I not studied like this before? If I had maybe all my test scores would be THAT good!! I am so proud of myself and so grateful from the help of Heather Jean, and Cassi for helping me remember not to PP in the Hall!!

My Parents

I have been thinking about the two most wonderful people in my life. . My Parentals. And how much I am happy that I was blessed to be sent to these people and be a part of my family. My parents have taught me so much in my life of 22 years. I dont know who I would be if it wasn't because of what they taught me. I love my mom and dad so much that I just wanted to make a post on it!! I would be lost if my parents were not around to uplift me and help me in my times of need. Love them!!

Gretta the Grateful Gobbler

This is my apartments gratitude turkey. I made Gretta out of butcher paper from the Institute, so thankful that they let me have the paper, or else I would not have been able to make Gretta. All of her feathers are the hand prints of those who have come over to the apartment! They then cut out their hand and write on their fingers of what they are grateful for. It has been so fun to have people come over. I talked about Gretta in my talk last sunday and that was when I invited everyone to come and give Gretta her feathers of gratitude! It has been so fun thus far, I am still hoping that people stop by! We are going to have her up until November is over!!

My hand was the first on Gretta, just because I made her. This was before I gave my talk on Sunday.

This was after I gave my talk on sunday!

What a Weekend!

As we all know, the weekend starts on Friday night. Sure enough that is when my weekend started too! Kevin and mom came down to St. George to visit me! So much fun was to come, and it started after I got off work. Saturday we went shopping, DI walmart, and old navy! When Kevin gets bored during shopping he beats up on you. Mom and I both got this treatment, hahaha it was fun to hang out and see Kevin adapt to the boredom. Great fun! That night we chilled at my place for a while so I could get my talk and lesson done for sunday. Dinner was great, they treated me to Cafe Rio! I finally got to watch the Movie "UP" Great Movie and in some parts so sad! Sunday came . . .I spoke in sacrament meeting on Gartitude, I thought I did a really good job and everyone seemed to agree with me. I love speaking in church! Then I got to teach the lesson in R.S. double whammy! I think so, I hope no one got sick of listening to me twice. O well! I love teaching also! Mom and Kevin left this morning, and yet even though I am going to be seeing them in one week for Thanksgiving it was still hard to say "See ya later."

Mom recording Kevin, like she always does!haha

Kevin Waiting for the food to come and watching the BYU game. Funny kid!

Can Still be Fun

D'ers. . . F.H.E. Last night was SO MUCH fun! Finger Painting was a blast! and yes, as young adults, you can still have fun with it! How it worked . .there was one pair of dice that we passed around between all five groups. If you roll a double you get to start painting your picture and you keep painting until another group rolls a double. Once a another group rolls a double you have to stop painting until your group rolls a double again. See the picture! haha it was so much fun!!

Watching another group. . waiting for the dice to get back to us!

We rolled a double!! Working away on our picture

*2009*

Here is the Durr Clan now! See what I mean, there are so many more added the family! It can only get bigger and better from here on out, seeing as four (out of eight) of us still need to get married! Never ending adventures! I Love my family!!

*1993*

This was taken so long ago! 1993 is when I think. At the time I thought my family was so big, there seemed to be so many of us, but now that I look at the picture it doesn't seem complete since we have all grown up and are starting our own families. I love and am thankful to know that eternal families can grow!! I am grateful for my family and everything I have learned and continue to learn by being part of the Durr Clan!

Talent Discovered

So I knew that I had this talent for I have done a lot of it, during the summer time working at Oakcrest but especially now that I live with roommates, away from my mom, this talent gotten tested. . COOKING!! Feeding my roommates and guys that we invite has become one of my favorite things to do! I love cooking and yeah, I am pretty good at it, hence the reason why I called it a talent! The first meal I cooked was seasoned chicken with carmel apple salad and mashed potatos, second meal, Cassi made delicious porkchops which were so GOOD! Third meal I made, which was last sunday, was crockpot chicken served with rice and green beans. IT DELICIOUS!!! Next sunday we are feeding yet another group of boys (different from the past two, we always want to invite someone new) and I am so excited to cook! What to make though? haha I am looking forward to impressing these boys with the skill. I will let you know how it goes!
